Back by popular demand!  The incredibly talented Gericke brothers, called 1925 Band, have received rave reviews for their sell-out Bee Gees Tribute.  They will be performing the hits of one of the most successful brother acts in the history of showbiz, namely, the Gibb brothers.

Known for their 3-part tight, beautiful harmonies, incredibly high notes and infectious dance rhythms, The Bees Gees were one of the biggest disco bands of the 1970s. 1925 Band, a folk-rock acoustic group, originating from Pretoria, have taken the South African music scene by storm with their beautiful harmonies. They composed the theme song for the Afrikaans movie, “Eintlik Nogal Baie” with the acclaimed music producer, Mauritz Lotz, in 2016. “Eintlik Nogal Baie” peaked at No. 1 on the SA charts and a Spanish version was also recorded as part of the international distribution of the film. Their second album, “Eintlik Nogal Baie” boasts 3 new singles with “Gedig op Jou Arm” peaking at No. 2 on the SA charts and “Fynbos” and “Al Te Min Gevra” currently charting. Their debut album, “Horizon” launched in 2014, paved the way forward for them to be recognized. They have thrilled audiences countrywide with their fresh, vibrant acoustic rock sound and their music is heavily influenced by Mumford and Sons and The Bees Gees.

Hi Sue It was a wonderful way to start in the new venue and, as always, you did a great job for all of us despite the air conditioning people keeping you waiting until the last minute. You must have been hugely stressed - especially on such a boiling hot day. You had a full house of really enthusiastic people and, clearly, everybody had a great time. I really do want to tell you what an asset you are to our part of the world and I'm so happy that you started the Drama Factory and that Floraine introduced me to its delights. We are all so fortunate to have such an enthusiastic, hard working lady to entertain so wonderfully with such a variety of shows. Much love, Genevieve

A fabulous and entertaining show. Loved the way the guys engaged with their audience.

Haha. I actually saw then for the 3rd time

The vand’s very good but the sound levels were too loud and so the singing was overtaken by the drum and guitar volumes.

The show was absolutely outstanding. The acoustics in the new theatre is amazing ! Just love the bigger space and am looking forward to seeing many more amazing shows there.

The show was good but the facilities and organisation could do with improving. Standing in a barn like structure waiting for the theatre doors to open is neither comfortable or pleasant. The seats need to be numbered and allocated when booking so that groups can sit together and there isn't a need to try and squeeze in as soon as the doors open to try and get a good seat. Didn't see any evidence of fire fighting equipment or emergency signage and only one exit point makes it look like a potential firetrap. Not sure how the building can have been given approval for such events without proper emergency exits and so on. The entrance door into the theatre itself is at the front, near the stage, so there was a lot of distraction with people coming in late and one woman going in and out several times after the show had started. This detracts from the audience enjoyment especially when so much light floods in every time the door opens - it is very annoying. The door should really be at the back of the auditorium (and a few seats should be kept available for latecomers in the back row) to allow latecomers to enter without spoiling the show for others.

Many people felt that the doors to the theater should have opened earlier as the foyer got very congested.Light during interval came only on in last minute.Emergency exit signs are a must!!But it was the 1st night so you did a fantastic job.Atmosphere and venue are great.Bee Gees show memorable! The sound level was a wee bit high for comfort but otherwise a very good show.

Great talent & a lot of fun - all accomplished musicians. I did want to offer the drummer a rubber band to hold back his hair though! Lol!

The music before the start of the show is way too high especially for people with hearing aid. That was very very uncomfortable, the new venue and show brilliant thank you.

I thought they were terrific and just felt sorry that they didn't remove their jackets earlier as they all looked so hot. The audience participation was wonderful and I felt quite young again listening to their songs. A BIG thank you to you Sue for installing air conditioning and for bringing us such a variety of shows over the past year. You are a star! Just one little gripe. I noticed that people are "reserving" seats by putting jackets and bags on the chairs. I know it would be difficult for you to stop this but you have let us know previously that there is no reserved seating.

Was really great , we enjoyed it immensley . All those involved at the Drama Factory, I salute you, truly helpful , enthusiastic and organised people. We had a super Saturday night out. Thank You!

1925 Band were absolutely fantastic and we had a really wonderful, enjoyable evening seeing them perform so up-close and personal at The Drama Factory. We saw the Bee Gees live in New York during the late 1980s and can honestly say that all 4 of the 'boys' last night really did a wonderful tribute to them. They can be really proud of their musical talents and ability to sing and entertain the audience, as well as writing and playing their own songs. Would love to see them again!
