After 2 back-to-back sold-out 70s Revolution shows in February, Duck Chowles, Andy Murray & The Retro Rewind Band, who also brought you the highly-acclaimed, popular shows, “Simon & Garfunkel meet The Beatles” and the “Sixties Revolution”, will be back this August! Don't miss this special tribute to the Masters of Folk and Rock such as Bad Company, Dire Straits, Rodriguez, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, and many more.
Duck Chowles, Andy Murray & The Retro Rewind Band pay tribute to a decade, which was a golden era for vinyl records. They were affordable to everyone and everyone had a record player. Do you remember when you bought 7 singles such as Smoke on the Water, Heart of Gold, The Sultans of Swing and Baker Street, or bought albums such as Hotel California, Another Brick in The Wall or Cold Fact?
The show features Duck Chowles, South Africa’s Rock ‘n Roll chameleon, who has won acclaim for his spellbinding and sterling impersonations of Mick Jagger and Rod Stewart. Duck will also pay a heart-warming tribute to singer-songwriter poets, such as Neil Young, Don McClean and Rodriguez. Inimitably dexterous on lead guitar and vocals, the man with the unassuming stage personality, Andy Murray, will pay tribute, with some blistering guitar solos, to some of the most influential guitarists of the ‘70s such as Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore and Billy Gibbons, to name a few. The Retro Rewind Band with Alan Lloyd on drums and Karl Hering on bass, who like Duck Chowles and Andy Murray, paid their dues in various Barnyard productions, completes the line-up, with guest artist, Morgan King on saxophone.
This is one mind-blowing show about showmanship, musicianship, harmony and the power of music, you do not want to miss!

It was absolutely above expectation!!!
Stunning show
Fantastic show...simply the best
A blast...real talent...
Thank you Drama factory for bringing such A class shows to Somerset West! Looking forward to the next music show in September.
loved it! Andy Murray amazing on guitar
Great fun ... what a generous and uplifting offering the band gave!!!
We loved it, now waiting for an 80s night and a Motown night. I love the easy booking, no tickets, very friendly door staff - thanks
As per my previous responses--once again the Drama Factory produces the goods. Having attended many musical shows at your venue (as well as the odd comedy/drama production) I have yet to be disappointed. This 70's Revolution Show was even better than Duck's previous tribute shows--the audience appreciation/participation said it all. Keep it up--I will be back :-)
Duck Chowles is excellent and so is his band. We go to all his shows.
Great energy in their performance. Some great guitar riffs and fun to sing along!
What can I say?. Well the music was good, the Sax outstanding. The blot on the evening was the altercation between a patron and the sound person. It was not pleasant to watch. This guy was up and personal in her face. I dont know how this came about but from where we were sitting at the back on the right hand side of the sound box we witnessed the scene. These people were already "happy" with their drinks in the foyer as they were standing behind us as we waited for the doors to open. During the first half of the show they seemed to be very loud. Anyway I hope the sound girl is OK. Because no guy should get that personal in someone's face especially a young girl. Other people apparently also complained about them. We have supported the Drama Factory for many years and this is the first unpleasant incident. Another thing extra chairs were brought in and placed at the bottom of the stairs right of the stage which made it difficult for people to get out to go to the loo. They had to cross over to the other side to get through. Keep up the good work you are doing Sue.
Awesome performance
Brilliant, entertaining, and simply fabous music!
It was brilliant especially the Mick Jagger impersonation. Missed the Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton songs.
A great evening, excellent music and superb talents. "Brick in the wall" reminded me of my teaching days in the 1970's.
Purchasing the tickets, online, was nice and easy. Service Team were EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. The Band was FANTASTIC .
Fantadtic show. Very true to 1970s rock. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The guys were excellent.

It was so much fun!
I had to miss the show as my brother passed away. My friends who used the tickets enjoyed it immensely. Said the band was very skilled, coming from Steven, the drummer in his own band
Whilst I enjoyed the show very much, I was disappointed at the content. There was so much more to the music in the seventies than heavy rock and I feel that this was missing, as it was from the sixties show. Nevertheless they are an exceptional group of musicians and I will come to see them as often as I can.
Absolutely LOVED the show. Can't wait for their next performance.
Auditorium could have been a bit darker. Sound was not 100% clear. Stage smoke not pleasant. Otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Music was far too loud and it was difficult to hear the words
need to find a way of getting proper vintilation for the theatre
5 Brilliant
Absolutely fantastic!!! Nobody like them!!! Top class!!Please bring them back...
Should be 10 out of 5 !! Fantastic Show, they put everything into the performance
Stunning show, venue great sound.
Stunning show, venue great sound.
Excellent!! I have seen many musical shows at the Drama Factory featuring different artists all of which I have enjoyed. Duck Chowels doing the Beatles/Simon and Garfunkle tribute as well as the Sixties Revolution tribute were, up to now, my two personal favourites. However, the 70's revolution has blown them all away! By far the most enjoyable musical tribute show that I have seen at any venue. Thank you fro bringing this show to our dorp and, in the words of Neil Young, "Long may you run" Drama factory.
Magic. Will watch them again.
Excellent! A brilliant performance by a very talented group of musicians. Duck Chowles and Andy Murray, together with Alan Lloyd and Karl Hering, at their best and the new addition, Ryan brings some new vibe and energy. Andy absolutely wowed the crowd with some amazing guitar work. A great job worthy of any overseas band.
It was our first time at the Drama Factory, but it wont be our last! We loved the show. It could've lasted another hour and it wouldn't have been long enough. Great music, musicians, atmosphere. Well done!

Superb show, fantastic musicians, unique keyboard player/playing! Looking forward to the next one.
Great Show! Duck has the right feeling to involve the audiance and gives the other musicians their "space". Best regards from Uwe Rathje, Musician and Tourist from Germany.
Absolutely brilliant. The best so far.
Loved it!!!
Brilliant and such fun!
Absolutely fantastic
TOTALLY STUNNING - BY FAR THE BEST PERFORMANCE THEY HAVE DONE AT DRAMA FACTORY. Andrew is the finest guitarist South Africa has ever produced. They were simply stunning. Robbie
Fabulous show.
Too loud, the balance between musicians was all wrong and there was a lot of distortion throughout the show. The lead singer had a good voice so putting the echo on was totally unnecessary - as a result you could hardly hear the piano player. It was such a shame as all the musicians in their own right are very talented.
Great music wonderful vibe. Thanks Sue. Looking forward to the next one.
Base guitare too over powering but excellent 👏🏻
