Is it easier to broker a BEE deal than date night after 21 years together? Two To Tango is a comedy drama about a superficially liberal white couple negotiating post-apartheid challenges. Should they have jumped on the gravy train after all?
Andrew and Lisa have been married for twenty-one years, and it shows. Apart from coping with the daily stresses of raising two teenage daughters, looming mid-life crises and economic stresses, they continue to be confounded in their quest for the ultimate South African accessory....a black friend.
Paul du Toit and Sue Diepeveen perform in this remake of Mike van Graan’s 2006 full-length play. Under direction by Ira Blanckenberg, this rendition explores how decades later, there still lacks genuine change in the New South Africa. Andrew and Liza’s relationship mimics our fraught political climate and highlights the effort required of both parties for a coherent community. This is a proudly Drama Factory production.
What audiences have said:
'What a fun show. We thoroughly enjoyed it. A play touching on a subject that is very relevant in a humorous way. Another fun night out at The Drama Factory.'
Highly entertaining, great humour, really enjoyed it.
Outstanding performance and very clever script....prompting much laughter however leaving the audience with a very strong message. Thoroughly enjoyed this show and rate it is one of the better performances I have seen for a very long time.
Loved everything about the show. Laughed. Reflected. Loved. A mirror.
Well done to both actors, we thoroughly enjoyed the show!
Hilarious!
We thoroughly enjoyed it - very true to life and at times close to the bone Bring on more
Excellent and hilarious! Thank you for a super show

Such fun - such wonderfully subtle nuances and just adored seeing Sue on stage !
Show was very relevant, well enacted, great humour and most enjoyable. well done.
Excellent. Was not sure what to expect, but it was truly brilliant, thought provoking and hit some humor strands while doing it.
We thoroughly enjoyed Two to Tango, great laugh! Such a slice through a white SA home and the conversations between a husband and wife!
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed Two to Tango and thought the acting was excellent. We had some good laughs as well.
Loved it!
Brilliant acting by both and well done Sue on those heels too!!!
Brilliant...... 5 Star performance.
Loved it! Brilliant acting.
Great show - very true to life in SA and superb entertainment - highly recommended

S0 funny, but the message was there, too, conveyed in a humorous manner. Both actors were very good in their roles, making it look easy (which I know it wasn't) The script was excellent, and resonated with the audience, which is what made it so funny. We all recognised ourselves on stage! I know nothing of directing a show, so will not comment, but assume it was great. Congratulations to all involved!
Highly entertaining, great humour, really enjoyed it.
Excellent script that resonates with every middle class South African. Hilarious at times with an uncomfortable undertone that we all experience in modern South Africa. Impeccably acted by Sue and Paul with flawless comedic timing.
Great acting and subject matter - getting the message across not only marriage but the current stresses around SA - maybe some more humour re The Caveman style as perhaps to much "dwanging" on the man as that message came across too strong I think - maybe a little more "marriage" humour
We all loved the wit and professionalism. Congratulations Sue and Paul. Hope your show is sold out in Grahamstown.
6 out of 5. Great show. Acting was superb!!
We loved it. Both actors stayed in their rolls perfectly, the dialogue was superb - we all identified with moments in the play, and the lighting and sound was managed perfectly. Well done to all of you and we wish you the very best in Grahamstown.
Very relevant to any marriage and to our times! So funny, just loved it. Great actors.
Hi. Very well acted but the script's age showed; sort of felt it was more '2009 than 2019'? But a fun evening. 👍🙂 P.S. Perhaps should make sure the neon light in the room upstairs is off for shows? And maybe time to look for curtains that close properly over the entrance; your poor 'usherette' struggled a bit to make them meet/close! 😉
Very current and real. Clever tensions -love, conflict and more importantly exactly the honesty and cultural understanding we inn SA need- loved humour too. Superb acting from both. The theatre was just a little hot but it is winter.
Loved it. Thought the actors did a terrific job. Ohna
It was a wonderful evening and well done Sue. Thank you for including us on your guest list. A lot of what we saw and heard had us in stitches because we recognised ourselves. Other parts made us think very hard and question our attitudes but I have recommended it to quite a few friends. I hear you are going to the Grahamstown Festival and I'm sure it will be a great success there too.
brilliant show

Enjoyed the show very much. Liked the way the issues in our colored rainbow as well as everyday headaches were addressed in the married couple's relationship. Great acting...! Could not always hear Sue very well though..
Super!
