I am Transgender. I am a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with their birth sex. I am Trans. When two women meet against all odds, fall in love and start a life together, does it even matter if one of them is actually a man? Does it?
Sorry, I think it was bad from start to finish. Very amateuristic! The actors were all inexperienced and seem to get no or very little direction from the director. As this is obviously a small group of wanting to be on a stage, in a play for which they have no experience. They kept directing their voices to their fellow players instead of to the audience and were consequently not very audible several times. Why was the main actor, Tash Garisc?, so poorly dressed that she looked like a bergie? Many of the actors were nicely dressed, but not Tash. She/he behaved like an imbecile, dropping herself first on one woman, then on another. But what the purpose of those actions were escaped me. Then there were people on stage - I hate to call the actors/actresses - who contributed absolutely nothing. For instance the two girls who joined the unburden yourself session contributed nothing! One said that she was an alcoholic. So what? The play was not about alcoholism. They both should have been seated in the audience. I have met transgender people in Asia and listened to their struggles, admittedly all were male to female, I never knew that female to male also happened, but if a woman has as little pride in her own appearance as the "leading lady had, I am not surprised that she was not happy. SORRY, but for my wife and I it was a wasted evening.
Thanks for an interesting show, unfortunately the actors spoke very softly and it was sometimes difficult to understand what they were saying (we were sitting in the first row!). Otherwise everything was very professional. Kind regards, Christine
